The first two on this page are imaginary landscapes, partly because my attempts at real landscapes have not always turned out well, and partly to give myself a chance to consider the underlying power of the land beneath my feet. Power which counts for nothing when we skip past it in ignorance, and yet underpins our lives and origins.
The small pencil drawings are a series ' Winter Drawings' from a couple of years back, giving myself the task of making at least one drawing a day through the cold and dark of an English winter.
